1. What is automated health screening and why is it important?⁣⁣⁣

Health screening is an assessment method of allowing individuals to assess and report their current health and risk factors for COVID-19 by answering some key questions. It is one of the four main COVID-19 transmission mitigation strategies.⁣⁣⁣

Automated health screening is a self-report software tool.  The questions are asked in a consistent and periodic manner ensuring the process integrity. ⁣As we’re getting back to work, the risk of workplace transmission exists.  Health screening is an effective preventative tool as it isolates high risk exposure before entry into the workplace.⁣

The periodic reporting requirement and proactive notifications are effective in improving workplace etiquette and culture.  The end goal is to ensure a safer and healthy work environment for everyone through the collective actions of each of us.⁣⁣

2.  What is contact tracing and why it is important?

Contact tracing is the process of identifying who may have come into contact with a person who has an infection. In dealing with the spread of infection, it is very important to be able to identify who might have been exposed. This allows for them to know that it may be good for them to get tested while also letting them know that they should maintain an appropriate distance from other people, ideally through isolation until the test results are known.

4. What is Santha Health Chek®?⁣

Santha Health Chek® is Santha Technologies’ automated health screening and contact tracing software tool.  Santha Health Chek® is purpose-built to support and accelerate preparedness and getting back to work.  Employers register and enter information about their sites and their employees. Using this information, Santha Health Chek® assigns the health screening questions to employees, visitors and customers as specified by the employers.  Santha Health Chek® also enables employers to monitor PPE availability and access.⁣ Santha Health Chek is able to provide effective contact tracing for employees and visitors using its information, analytics and reporting platform.
Getting back to work in a safe and prudent manner is critical.  Santha Health Chek® allows employers to improve the health and safety of their employees, visitors, and customers.  Santha Health Chek® supports the building of trust and confidence as we get back to work.

5. What are the benefits of Santha Health Chek® to the employer?⁣

There are several benefits of Santha Health Chek® to the employer:⁣

  • Automation of Health Screening: Every employee will complete health check-in as required and employers will be notified automatically if assessment is not completed.⁣
  • Response: If an infection is suspected or confirmed in the workplace, employers will be able to understand the exposure and communicate with all impacted employees using the contact tracing solution.⁣⁣

5. What are the benefits of Santha Health Chek® to the employee?

6. Can’t I just put signage up about health screening?

Santha Health Chek® is proactive and stimulates active employee engagement. Signage is often ignored as we become “nose blind” unless there is some form of compliance check. Santha Health Chek® is an excellent complement to signage since it provides record keeping of the areas that an employee has worked. We know someone could be asymptomatic for days so being able to know where an employee has been is critical in any contact tracing and broader infection response plan. 

7. My employees work remotely from home; why do I need to check their health?

Employer health and safety obligations extend to remote workers and the remote workplace.  All employees should have the same compliance requirements as a matter of fairness.  If remote workers are required to come to work even as an infrequent occurrence, then all employees will feel safer.  With Santha Health Chek®, you have an engagement touchpoint with your employees to check how they are doing. They also have the confidence knowing that everyone is getting the same level of health screening.

8. What do I do with the information Santha Health Chek® provides me?

The results from the Santha Health Chek® can be used to monitor your infection prevention, preparation and response program. First, you want to make that a culture of workplace etiquette is established where employees and visitors are completing the assessments. Based on the results, there are several options available. Santha Health Chek® provides some guidelines on suggested next steps based on health screening results. Ultimately, you should work with your HR and legal team to understand how you plan to use the health screening and contact tracing results. . This will also build confidence amongst your employees and visitors.

9. Do I need to download the Santha Health Chek® mobile application?

Santha Health Chek has been developed both as a browser application and a mobile application. The browser application can be used on all devices without the need to download; all that is required is a connection to the internet to undertake the assessment. The mobile application is not needed if the user does not want to download it.

10. Does Santha Health Chek® track my whereabouts or online activity?

Santha Health Chek® does not track your location or online activity. Employees at every level are required to undertake health screening and that is the only information that is stored and used. There is not a connection to your smart phone to track your geo-location or your online activity.

11. How does Santha Health Chek® do contact tracing?

Santha Health Chek® does not use geo-location inside or outside of the workplace. Instead, Santha Health Chek® uses location functionality. If a suspected or confirmed infection is identified, then the history of all employees for a location and time is available through Santha Health Chek®.

Through the Santha Health Program® and Santha Communicates®, employers can quickly reach out to those employees that may have been exposed in those areas at those times.

By letting employers define their locations, the employer is able to develop and inform their own response strategy.

Through the Santha Health Program® and Santha Resources®, a contact centre is available to support contact tracing if a suspected or confirmed infection case is identified.

12. Where is Santha Health Chek’s® data stored?

Santha Health Chek’s® data is stored according to the jurisdictional laws and business requirements of the employer. For example, if a Canadian corporation requests that data be stored in Canada, this can be accommodated. 13. What are the security protections for Santha Health Chek’s® data?

14. What is done with the data Santha Health Chek® collects?

The data Santha Health Chek® collects is used to assist employers and employees with understanding risks for infection in their selected sites. Employers and employees can select how they wish to use their data for their own purposes. Santha Health Chek® uses the data for analytics and reporting to help employers and employees understand the risk of transmission.
